The Great Basin Branch of the Western United States Pipe Band Association (WUSPBA) was created to offer a local presence to its member bands. WUSPBA's Great Basin Branch represents all of Utah, western slivers of Colorado, Wyoming and a southern bit of Idaho.

AWARDS DINNER - February
On February 7, 2009 the WUSPBA Great Basin Branch will hold their annual awards dinner
at Lambs cafe (169 S. Main St. Salt Lake City). The dinner will begin at 5:30pm and include a beverage, choice of soup or salad, and a main course choice of:
1) Atlantic Salmon
2) Beef tenderloin a la stroganoff
3) Greek lemon chicken
4) Three cheese pasta (vegetarian).
All members of the Great Basin Branch are invited to attend as well as members families and friends, games sponsors, and anyone else who is interested in acknowledging and supporting the achievements of our bands and soloists. The fee for the dinner will be $20.00 per person, checks should be made out to: WUSPBA Great Basin Branch.
All RSVP's (including meal choice) and money must be received by January 15, 2009 and may be submitted in one of the following ways:
1. Sent to the December 5, 2008 band council meeting with your band council representative.
2. Mailed to Cheri Morgan (120 S. 925 W. Orem, UT 84058)
Validated parking will be available at the Walker Center off 200 S. by Kinko's.

We hope to see everyone there, Highland attire is encouraged but not mandatory.


TENOR WORKSHOP - March
Tenor Workshop with Kevin MacHeffner (tenor with 78th Fraser Highlanders)
Saturday March 7th and Sunday March 8th
9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day in the Diamond/Amethyst room
The Crystal Inn, 2254 W. City Center Court, West Valley City, Utah (by the E-Center) www.crystalinnwestvalley.com
$125.00 for each registered competition and associate band
$50.00 for each registered Juvenile band
The above fees will allow bands to send up to 6 workshop participants.

Discounted rooms can be booked at the Crystal Inn for $94.00 a night (must be booked by February 27th). Call their reservation department at 800-366-4466 and give the reservation code: G.B.B.W.U.S.P.B.A.
Room reservation includes free hot breakfast buffet and free airport shuttle.
