In honor of our dear and irreplaceable friend and colleague Jeff Mann, effective immediately the Western United States Pipe Band Association is establishing the Jeffrey Milton Mann Piping And Drumming Scholarships for all WUSPBA amateur pipers and drummers who are invited to the Agnew-Harrison Invitational Drumming Competition, the Nicol Brown Amateur Invitational Piping Competition, the George Sherriff Memorial Invitational, and the Balmoral Classic U.S. Junior Solo Piping & Drumming Championships. Each scholarship will be in the amount of $375 to help pay for instruction by teachers of the recipients’ choice. We are delighted to announce Lei Lucas, who will be competing in snare drumming at the 2026 Agnew-Harrison, as our very first recipient.
We are extremely proud to support the hard work and sacrifices that our talented and dedicated soloists and their families commit every day to piping and drumming, and can’t wait to see all of you out on the competition field and at your other performances in 2026! We wish all of you the very best of luck and lots of fun in the 2026 season.
