Fred Morrison judged the piobaireachd competition. This was a youtube competition so participants could send in their best performance. The group has a facebook page and web address reddingbagpipecompetition.com. Competitors entered from around the world.
West Coast Pipers Online Solo Competition
The West Coast Pipers conducted a “live” piobaireachd competition, whereby competitors record a video of themselves playing, and save it via YouTube. City of Sacramento Pipe Band Pipes and Pubs Series
The City of Sacremento Pipe Band has moved their Pipes and Pubs Series of contests to on-line – and they’ve offered prizes! So far two contests have been held live via Zoom, and a third is scheduled. Check their facebook page for information: https://www.facebook.com/sacramentopipers/
Rob McLintock Piping and Drumming School
Northern Branch staff assisted with the Rob McLintock Piping and Drumming school which moved to an online format after the cancellation of the school and San Diego Games. This school will be held on Zoom June 26 - 28 and follow the same format as the in person school. Contact Sue Jacobi for information (flyer is attached below).
